Heart, Life & Soul

Heart, Life and Soul is an eight-piece band using music for peace. They consist of a saxophone player, pianist, bassist, guitarist, percussionist, drummer and a brother and sister on vocals. With inspirations like Ella Fitzgerald, Spearhead, Arrested Development and Bob Marley, their music is composed of jazz, hip-hop, soul and reggae. They combine an original outlook with soulful singing, knowledgeable lyrics and a lively performance. Hailing from the Foothills of Northern California, these young adults have been sending a conscious message with energetic emotions since 1999.
HLS has planned, produced, promoted and performed in numerous benefit shows for homeless and women shelters of Auburn and Sacramento, hip-hop and reggae festivals such as the Mt. Shasta Renegade festival and music concerts of all genres ranging in all areas from Lake Tahoe to Long Beach.
Heart, Life and Soul is also involved in the J. Ross-Parrelli Foundation, a non-profit organization inspired to establish an elementary school where low-income students can get a higher education.

At Mt Shasta, they began with a typical Sunday morning crowd of about a dozen sitting people, but by the end of their performance everyone at the festival was up and dancing".

Richard, owner of the Auburn Club Car, is so enthusiastic about Heart, Life and Soul he booked them once a month for the next year, as well as got Arista Records to come watch them. "This group of talent is going to go big. Heart, Life and Soul gets the largest crowd of the most diverse people I have yet to have in my bar. Every performance is a sell out, as well as amazing. The vocals are so impressive and the energy that they have never dies. Each time I see them they impress me more".
