Vision
Statement
One Root Festival is an annual signature event that celebrates
diversity through the presentation of the music, dances,
arts, crafts and foods of various cultures. The event adopts a
daytime, outdoor and interactive festival format.
The daylong event will once again take place at the Royer
Park, in downtown Roseville, California. Booths of high quality
multicultural artisans, crafters and food purveyors line the
streets. Live performing artists are featured throughout the
day on three strategically located stages. Festival entrance
is free and accessible to the public.
Clean,
alcohol- and drug-free, One Root Festival is inviting and
enriching for individuals, families and children of all ages.
The interaction between volunteers, vendors, performing
artists and attending public, provides many opportunities for
sharing of family and cultural traditions. The environment is
clean, safe, non-threatening, and cheerful.
Though
One Root Festival is located in Roseville, its draw is regional.
Working closely within the network of local and regional agencies
and groups, businesses and the media, the festival builds
volunteer and sponsorship support.
